Whether you’re a high school student with a football injury or an active senior in need of a joint replacement, Dr. Michael Valastro uses the appropriate combination of physical therapy, medication, and surgery to help you return to the physical activities you enjoy most.
As a general orthopedist with a specialization in sports medicine, the majority of Dr. Valastro’s patients come to him with knee and shoulder injuries. But he also conducts leading-edge reconstructive surgery when necessary, such as hip and knee replacements. Dr. Valastro is an honor graduate of the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and has been with Round Rock Orthopaedics & Rehab since 1996.
Dr. Valastro is very active in the Round Rock community, conducting periodic continuing education talks for area physicians and athletic trainers. He also volunteers on the sidelines at local sporting events, offering his services in the event of an injury. He enjoys spending time with his wife, Jacqueline, and children, Alyssa, Alexander, and Antonio, and loves to travel with his family when he can find the time to get away.
